The draw
- Odds. The maximum odds of any single ticket winning are 1 in 26,000. If not every ticket is sold, each ticket's chance is better than this.
- Draw date. The winner will be drawn on or shortly after Sunday 15 November 2026 at 20:00, by automated random draw, shown as a visual draw on the competition page.
- The draw is guaranteed. The draw goes ahead on the Draw Date and a winner is selected regardless of how many entries are sold; we do not cancel, postpone or extend a competition because of a low number of entries. If every entry is allocated before the closing date, the draw may be brought forward to an earlier published time (terms clause 4.10). Clause 7.3 of the Terms applies.
- Provably fair. The random seeds that decide this draw are fixed before entries close: a cryptographic fingerprint of each is published on this competition page from the moment entries open, and the seeds themselves are revealed after the draw, so anyone can check the result against what was fixed in advance on the verification page. See how our draws work.
- Winner notification & claims. Winners are notified, and must claim their prize, as set out in clauses 5.4 to 5.6 of our Terms & Conditions: we contact the winner as soon as possible, the prize must be claimed within 30 days, identity is verified before release, and the prize is redrawn if it is not claimed.
The prize
- The prize. The prize is a cash sum of £500, paid to the winner by bank transfer to a UK bank account in the winner's own name. We confirm that the account name matches the name on the winner's account and may make reasonable checks before paying.
- Winner publicity. The winner's surname and county may be published, and we may ask (never require) the winner to take part in publicity. The winner may object to publication as set out in the Publicity section of our Terms & Conditions.
Other conditions
- Site credit. Any site credit won or awarded will expire on the date stated when it is added to your account.
Promoter: NetCompetitions Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 07533343). Free entry by post is available on every competition, see the free entry route.
Every draw is done by computer, and anyone can check it afterwards.
- 1Your ticket number is set the moment you pay. Nobody chooses which number you get.
- 2Only sold tickets can win. Unsold numbers are never in the draw.
- 3We can’t change the draw algorithm once tickets are on sale. The winner comes from the tickets actually sold, put through a secret code we lock in before sales start. Because the code is locked and we publish proof it’s locked, we can’t swap it after seeing who has entered, and the check after the draw would show it if we had.
- 4You can check it yourself. After the draw, press Verify and your browser repeats it. It should pick the same winner.
- 5Every winning ticket number is published, with the winner’s first name and surname initial if they agree.
Technical details
No purchase necessary. A free postal entry goes into the same draw as every paid ticket, with the same chance of winning.
As many entries as a second-class stamp would buy at this competition’s ticket price. Each postcard needs its own stamp.
