Free Entry
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Every paid competition has a free postal route, and free entries go into the same draw as paid entries with an equal chance of winning.
Some competitions are free to enter online. There is nothing to pay, so the postal route is not needed for them: the free online entry is the free route, it is quicker for you, and the same entry limit per person applies.
How to enter for free
You’ll need a free NetCompetitions account (creating one costs nothing) so we can match your postal entry to you by email. Then send a postcard by ordinary first- or second-class post to:

Your entry must clearly include all of the following:
- your full name;
- your full postal address;
- the email address registered to your NetCompetitions account;
- your date of birth;
- the full title of the competition, exactly as shown on the site;
- that competition’s closing date and time.
Good to know
Who can enter. UK residents only (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), aged 18 or over. The same applies to the paid route.
Equal value to a paid entry. Each postal communication counts as as many whole entries as you could buy, at that competition’s ticket price, for the price of a second-class stamp, so the free route gives you the same value for the same outlay as paying. Where a competition’s ticket price is more than a second-class stamp, one postal communication is one entry. To make more entries, send more separate communications, each with its own postage.
One postcard per competition. Each postcard can enter one competition only and must be posted separately with its own stamp. Several entries sent in one envelope count as one entry.
Same limits as the paid route. The per-person maximum shown on each competition page applies to your paid and free entries combined; the free route is never more restricted than paying.
Deadline. Postal entries must be received by the closing date and time, the same deadline as online entries. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt, so please allow plenty of time. We can’t be responsible for entries lost or delayed in the post.
